How to Add and Manage Music Tracks for Your Clips in Sermon Shots

Sermon Shots includes a built-in library of copyright-free music tracks you can add to your sermon clips. From previewing and selecting tracks to adjusting volume and managing your favorites, this guide covers everything you need to know about using music in the clip editor.

Accessing the Music Panel

While editing your sermon clip (Step 3 of the clip creation process), click the Music option in the left-side panel to open the music library. From here, you can browse, preview, and select tracks for your clip.

You can use the drop-down menu at the top of the music panel to filter tracks by category, making it easier to find the right sound for your content.

Previewing a Music Track

Before committing to a track, you can listen to it first.

1. In the music panel, scroll through the list of available tracks.
2. Click the play button next to any track to preview it.

Selecting a Music Track

Once you've found the right track:

1. Click the title of the track to select it.
2. The track will appear under Selected Tracks in the Music section of the left sidebar.

Adjusting the Volume

After selecting a track, a volume slider will appear beneath the track title in the Selected Tracks section.

1. Drag the slider left to decrease the volume, or right to increase it.
2. Adjust as needed to balance the music with your sermon audio.

Removing or Changing a Track

To Remove a Track

You can remove a selected track in one of two ways:

• Click Clear All next to the Selected Tracks label, or
• Click the X icon at the end of the track title.

To Change a Track

1. Remove the current track using either method above, or simply click the title of a new track.
2. Selecting a new track will automatically replace the existing one.

Marking a Track as Favorite

If you find a track you love and want to use again, you can save it for quick access.

1. Click the star icon on the right side of the track in the music list.
2. The track will be saved to your Favorites.

Accessing Your Favorites

Select Favorites from the drop-down filter menu at the top of the music panel to view all your starred tracks in one place.

Uploading Your Own Music

Prefer to use your own music? You can upload personal tracks directly in the music panel.

1. Click the Music option in the left-side panel to open the music panel.
2. Navigate to the Personal Music section.
3. Click the Upload Music button.
4. Select your audio file from your device.

Once uploaded, your track will appear under Personal Music and can be selected and used just like any track from the built-in library.

Deleting an Uploaded Track

You can delete tracks that you've uploaded under Personal Music at any time. Note that only personal (user-uploaded) tracks can be deleted — built-in library tracks cannot be removed.

1. In the music panel, navigate to the Personal Music section.
2. Find the track you'd like to remove.
3. Click the trash can icon beside the track title to delete it.

All music tracks in the Sermon Shots built-in library are copyright-free, so you can use them in your sermon clips and share them across social platforms without any licensing concerns. If you upload your own music, please ensure you have the appropriate rights to use it.

Troubleshooting: Music Track Showing as "Unavailable"

If a music track appears as unavailable, don't worry — this is usually a temporary loading issue. Try the following steps to resolve it:

1. Reopen the music menu to trigger a reload of the music list.
2. Slowly scroll up and down within the music list to prompt the system to reload the tracks.

If the track remains unavailable after trying both steps, please try using the drop-down menu at the top of the music panel to filter tracks by category.
