How To Select Captions Aside From AISC
Overview
While Sermon Shots provides AI Suggested Clips that automatically identify the best moments from your sermon, you have full control to manually select any part of your sermon to create clips exactly the way you want.
This means you can:
- Shorten clips by removing sentences
- Lengthen clips by adding more sentences
- Combine AI suggestions with your own selections
- Create clips from any part of your sermon (not just AI suggestions)
- Build completely custom clips from scratch
All manual selection happens in Step 2: Select Subtitles of the clip creation process.
Understanding AI Suggested Clips vs. Manual Selection
AI Suggested Clips
- The AI automatically identifies up to 10 "Amen moments" from your sermon
- These are recommended clips designed to be engaging and shareable on social media
- They're a great starting point, but you're not limited to them
Manual Selection
- You can select any sentence from your entire sermon transcript
- You can add to or remove from AI suggestions
- You can create clips from parts the AI didn't suggest
- You have complete control over clip length and content
You can use AI suggestions as-is, modify them, or ignore them completely and create your own clips from scratch.
How to Access the Full Sermon Transcript
When you're in Step 2: Select Subtitles, you'll see two main sections:
- AI Suggested Clips (on the left side)
- Shows 10 recommended clip moments from the AI
- Full Sermon Transcript (center/right side)
- Shows every sentence from your entire sermon
- Important: You need to scroll down through this section to see all content
- The entire sermon transcript is available, not just what the AI suggested

Red Minus Sign (-)
- Meaning: This sentence IS currently in your clip

Scroll to See Everything
If you only see a small portion of your sermon, keep scrolling down in the transcript section. The entire sermon is available—you just need to scroll through it.
Clip Length Limits
- Clips can be up to 2 minutes and 30 seconds long
- At the bottom of the transcript, you'll see: "Selected Captions: X / 650" and "Total duration: XX:XX:XX"

- Check the duration – Keep an eye on the total clip length at the bottom of Step 2
- Preview before downloading – Always check your clip in Step 3 to make sure it looks and sounds right
